Für die Teilnahme ist eine gültige ASVZ-Mitgliedschaft erforderlich. (Als ETH- oder UZH-Studierende*r besitzt du diese automatisch.)

Bitte bring ein Vorhängeschloss mit und verstaue alle Taschen, Jacken usw. in einem Schließfach. Es ist nicht erlaubt, Gepäck oder persönliche Gegenstände im oder vor dem Kursraum stehen zu lassen. Straßenschuhe sind im Kursraum nicht gestattet. Trage Tanzschuhe oder – falls du (noch) keine Tanzschuhe hast – Socken.

Beschreibung

This course tought by Vova (Swiss Champion Standard 2022 & 2021) focuses on technique and style of Standard Dances. The course will take an indepth look in:

- Waltz: partnering skills, posture and swing

- Quickstep: partnering skills, interesting Basic and character of movement

- Tango: Interesting Basics and mechanics as well as couple positions and coordination

Since this is an evolving course there will also be time and opportunity to take into account individual wishes of participants.

About this course

Each lesson we will take an in-depth look at one topic and practice it using short step combinations.

Recommended Level

This course is recommended for people with at least one year of Ballroom (Latin) dancing experience. If you learned dancing at Tanzquotient, this would mean that you've already completed all our regular Levels (1 - 6).

This was hands-down the best class on frame I've had inside and outside of TQ. Advice was actionable, teacher was clear, and I felt my ballroom improve tremendously just with this class.

Vlad's trainings are always very well structured, starting from the basics and then building up on them, always explaining how each "building block" connects to the other. He helps each participant individually by giving them personal feedback which is adjusted to their level, so that everyone can improve and doesn't feel left behind!

Training with Vova is always amazing, as he is very good at spotting things you do wrong and giving immediate ways of what you could practise to improve it. His courses have a very good balance of showing new technique/figures/etc. to practise time, where you actually have the chance to implement his exercises. However i would not advise this course to people that have not completed Ballroom 6. You should be comfortable with all the basic to slightly advanced figures (also what they are called) and also have at least a rough concept of how to do their technique correct. But if you are at this level, there seriously is no better course you could take.
