Description

Dancing is about moving to music. So for this workshop we'll look at how we can adjust our movements to the feeling of the music, figure out the structure of swing songs and anticipate patterns so that we can adjust our dance to maximum satisfaction.

We'll look at the basic structure of swing music, common elements and patterns, orienting ourselves in a song, and then putting it together for maximum fun while dancing. The goal is to have a great dances with just a few basic figures, no fancy choreos needed.

⚠️ For this workshop you should be able to either dance Jive or Lindy Hop at a basic level, i.e. you should have already completed Ballroom 2 or Lindy Hop 2. Please indicate your experience (Jive, Lindy, both) and level during sign-up so that we can adjust the course accordingly 🫶

If you like confusion and having fun, and always dreamed about learning salsa from the other side -- that's the ideal course for you! The confusion level goes down with time, but the fun remains, and that's the most important thing.
