TimeWest Coast Swing: Level 2
For dancers who know the Level 1 basics and want to grow their social dancing vocabulary. We take the familiar patterns into both open and closed position, with new entries, exits, and hand changes, then add a full set of whips: basket, outside/inside turn, and the reverse whip with its variations. You’ll also learn inside turns / free spins, headloops, and variations of basic patterns.
On the technique side, we focus on posting, stretch, and floorcraft on a crowded dance floor.
Prerequisite: Level 1 or equivalent.
West Coast Swing is incredibly versatile, modern, and can be danced to almost any kind of music—whether it’s pop, R&B, blues, or acoustic versions. This trendy partner dance from California captivates with its flowing movements, the playful communication between lead and follow, and plenty of room for improvisation.
